Aptos Man Dies in Overnight Car Crash
SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - A fatal crash overnight killed an Aptos man on Highway 1.
California Highway Patrol said the crash happened just before 1:00 AM on the southbound lane of Highway 1 near State Park Drive.
Officers say the 35 year old man lost control of his car and collided with a tree. The on ramp was closed for approximately three hours.
Officers say he wasn't wearing a seat belt when the crash happened. The crash is still under investigation.
