Bicyclist Hit By Car, Second Bicyclist Crashes | Crime
SOQUEL, Calif.- Two men riding bikes on Soquel-San Jose Rd. on Saturday, left in an air ambulance after crashing when a car hit one, causing the crash.
One bicyclist was a 53-year-old Capitola man, the other a 35-year-old Soquel man.
The car, a possible dark Audi, passed the bikes near Rocky Road and then clipped the lead bike when returning to the lane, said Santa Cruz CHP. The second bike went down trying to avoid the downed cyclist.
According to investigators, the car fled the scene.
